Behind the "Why"

Trust me, These answers were written by me and definitely not A.I

Why design?

I started designing for a nonprofit, thinking, "Wow, design is amazing!" Then I worked for a company and thought, "Wow, design is brutal." So, I pursued a Master’s in HCI to figure it out. Now, I mostly know what I’m doing.

Why "Product Design"?

UX design was fun until I realized businesses expect profits too. Product design is just UX, but with higher stakes and more meetings. I thrive in chaos, so here we are.

What's your design philosophy?

If it needs a tutorial, I’ve failed. If people enjoy using it, I’ve succeeded. If no one notices the design at all, I’ve really succeeded.

What’s been your toughest design challenge?

Explaining to my relatives that "making things pretty" is not all that I do.

Which superhero would you be in design terms?

Batman. Works in the shadows, obsessed with problem-solving, relies on a well-equipped toolbelt (Figma, Notion, Miro). Now, let’s be real! We designers function on very little sleep :')
